That reminded me of how I've seen bullying discussed or handled in a problematic way. Somehow the kid being picked on her bullied is considered equally at fault for reacting to another kid picking on them.

I just read about funding being pulled in Florida, USA with the ACA not being funded just before I read this. People with HIV will not be able to afford care & that will go for long CoVid treatment as well.

I would agree no thinking going on. It will come back & get them all. There is no way it benefits anyone to increase the viral load of HIV in the population.
My 1st patient with HIV in 1989 was an infant. Both parents dying from AIDS & couldn't care for her.

I do not understand the voters for trump. I know a disabled person, gay person, in-law immigrants that voted trump.
The president of soybean association voted for him "3 times" Why??It was so clear the 1st time around he was detrimental to all these ppl that voted for him. I'm still baffled.

As an RN, I wouldn't let them all off the hook. I've known some horrible ones and some wonderful physicians.

Longer legs & not such a long coat is much better for snow.
I love herding dogs.

Generally, I find that people that do that sort of thing to others do not have as broad of knowledge as they think and are not very good thinkers. They might just have memorized a bunch of stuff. In stead of making fun of others they could spend their time figuring out what you know that they don't.

Mine has fur, but you'd be surprised how bad he is in the snow. He collects snow balls on his belly & between his toes. My Cardigan Corgi with a normal coat does much better and stays warm.

I have trouble getting out due to a family member that requires full-time care plus I have to pay co-pays with blood tests.
I got my MMR & shopping at Costco done all in 1 trip & zero cost.
It might be a better option for some people.

Forgot to mention that it might cost you less as well.
December 15, 2025 at 12:03 AM
It's a lot of extra cost & poking. You can just get boosted without knowledge of your status. That's what I did. Quick fast & done.

I might have agreed with your statement in the past, not now. The denial will continue in the face of evidence. The media consumed or presented will affect interpretation.
I talked to a nurse that saw CoVid deaths. She said no matter the circumstance, she'll never, ever mask again. It's weird out there.

A friend&I were trying to figure out how a vet that works in the poultry industry thinks he doesn't need to mask for CoVid because it's "not airborne" or something like that. He'll mask when flying, but otherwise doesn't see it as a risk-or thinks masks won't work to prevent it.It's weird out there.

It's really very complicated. A new variant could evolve at anytime that is much more deadly than the original CoVid variant. We are just gambling with CoVid. It won't magically not be a big risk.

Do Bad Viruses Always Become Good Guys in the End?
In our social media age, talk of virulence has gone viral, with most of us atwitter about the course the new coronavirus is taking. As novel variants move up the ladder of concern, we are left asking ...

People just don't believe this could happen to them. Every infection is a gamble. I've seen people not appear to have lasting side effects--nothing obvious like you had. They assume it didn't do damage & won't with a new infection.
I don't get why health care providers don't get it. Denial?
October 6, 2025 at 10:45 AM
I didn't figure there was ever a good time to stop masking in public, so I never did. Just easier to not be sick & take the risk at anytime.
