I’m not published, & this novel is only 1/4 way drafted, but I realized today I’ve already arrived. I spend my days writing, reading, being creative & connecting with others. I’m not waiting until x happens to be happy. I am living my dream *now* and that is everything to me. Enjoy the journey!

Today was a blast! Wrote the scene where my FMC and her love interest go skydiving for their first date. This is what makes writing so much fun. I got to relive my youth as I put my characters through the paces of their first jump. It was so fun! Here’s a few of us back in the day. Blue skies! 🪂

I am ending my day exhausted from a day of transcribing my characters thoughts and actions onto the page. Tomorrow they’re going skydiving! I can’t wait to wake up in the morning and write that scene! I have no idea if anyone else will love this book, but I absolutely love writing it.

I am loving my daughter’s reaction to reading Stephen King’s Misery. She’s read some of his books before and knows how much I love them, but each new story just showcases his genius even more. What fun to get to share my favorite author with her!

I can’t read books in my genre when I’m drafting so I’m indulging in literary fiction right now. This book reminded me life doesn’t end at 50. Since I’m building a new life, following three women through Tuscany as they started fresh late in life was an inspiring gift to me. #writinglife
