Also, it is regretful that the authors overlooked Maenosono's (2021, Nature of Kagoshima, 48) two morphotypes in G. ruepelli from Ryukyu, we disscussed in Ohtsuchi et al. (2024, Crustaceana, 97, 12).

From Japan. I do not see the story of decarcinization but they say that this raninoids belong to very primitive group of Brachyuran and showing hermit crab-like ventral view especially in the position of ambulatory legs.
