Totally forgot about My Lady Jane! No one is mentioning it and it was fabulous! Galavant is on the list too

American Gothic, Pushing Daisies, Adventures of Brisco County Jr, Deadboy Detectives, Lockwood and Co, Etoile, I’m really good at falling in love with cancelled shows lol

No one ever talks about American Gothic!

How do you feel about catholic horror? Because 30 Coins is underrated. Gilded Age is good of you like historical soap operas

It was my daughter’s too! It’s her favorite!

It’s really weird how a society constantly crying about the birth rate is so profoundly unfriendly towards children. It’s really messed up how common place it’s become to just hate on the concept of children in public spaces.

Elisabetta Sirani is so criminally underrated! The way she paints light and fabric is just extraordinary

Hilariously, she can just borrow mine

That’s the only scene that made you cry?

The Swifts is delightful and it just has absent parents but there are some minor characters that die. Eva Evergreen Semi Magical Witch is really good! Very Kiki’s Delivery Service vibes

And now that I’m going over the book my kid likes I’m realizing how many dead parents there are in children’s literature. The Greenwild is really good but it has a dead mom fake out (she’s not dead but that not revealed until the end of the book).

It’s a really beautiful book and even if your kid is not ready for it right now, it’ll be worth it keeping it in mind for the future.

Luna is not an orphan! She’s reunited with her mother at the end. But it does involve baby stealing and that might be hard for some kids. Mine loved it though.

The military is actually pretty socialist in its organizing. Everyone has the same healthcare, pay is very standardized, promotions are standardized

Tell me more about this Marsupial Machine. Is it powered by them? Like a bunch of wallabies on oversized hamster wheels? Or does it make marsupials? And if so, does it create new ones or just already existing ones? Or extinct ones? I have so many questions

All three of us coming down with Norovirus at the same time was rough. There should be a max number of people in a family vomiting at the same time lol
