I've been holding off, but maybe it's time to stop my L.A. Times subscription, at least for now. :/
Literally have never heard of anything like this happening at LAT before.
My first and definitely last time working with the Los Angeles Times. Editing out the most urgent point of an OpEd in the minutes before sending to press while then also assigning a title and image that suggest an argument entirely opposite to the author’s clear intent is pretty shitty.

I was in 6th grade in 1980 when John Lennon was killed, and since my parents were Silent Generation movie buffs, I initially thought that Jack Lemmon had been assasinated.
