Peacock has made the Tour de France unwatchable. I pay for a subscription and it’s still all commercials #tdf2025
Peacock. What a dreadful #tdf2025 viewing experience. Paid subscription, 2 minutes of commercial interruptions every 8 minutes. SMH

I didn’t realize the details of how this was done. It is jaw dropping.
🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read.

He's saying DOGE came in, data went out, and Russians started attempting logins with new valid DOGE passwords

Media's coverage wasn't detailed enough so I dug into his testimony:

I am super curious as to what the fox news excuse is for golfing instead of being at Dover
Reminder: as the Dow is tanking faster than 2008, and four dead servicemen arrive at Dover, Trump is golfing: with the saudis

This is going to devastate 20,000 Montana families

What is DOGE doing while everyone is focused on signalgate?

Fascinating mystery with devastating effects. Fake morels are in Montana and someone recently died eating them at a restaurant when they weren’t fully cooked.
A tiny French village became an ALS hot spot. Neurologists found that the patients consistently ate three foods: game, dandelion greens, and, notably, wild mushrooms. Shayla Love traveled there to investigate:
An ‘Impossible’ Disease Outbreak in the Alps
In one tiny town, more than a dozen people were diagnosed with the rare neurodegenerative disease ALS. Why?

This is the most disheartening thing I have read. And real. You think (or I think): they just need to know about the impacts and then people will be outraged. But no. Even when their kid gets fired. Even if they were a federal worker themselves. This goes so deep apnews.com/article/trum...
Thrust into unemployment, axed federal workers face relatives who celebrate their firing
Scrambling to replace their health insurance and to find new work, some fired federal workers are running into another unexpected unpleasantry: Relatives cheering their job loss.

I can’t wait for the absolutely brutal takedown on a future Frontline episode
Marco Rubio's collaboration with Russia's Sergei Lavrov and Putin is one of the most disgusting acts of betrayal to democracy and our nation. Rubio has secured his place in history of infamy.

“What we’ve seen these past few weeks is a radical reform of the federal government," Sheehy said. "And we’re reforming the federal government so it works for, not against, the people of Montana.” This chaos isn’t reform. Reform would involve work and lawful actions www.mtpr.org/montana-news...

These are the people pushing code to fragile, complex, codebases from the 70s in COBOL running various sensitive govt systems and want to get into the transportation systems and add AI. All at great speed.

Let’s not do the work to fix things. That would be hard. Let’s destroy. Also, if this passed, would you want your child to work at a mine? Like we have in our town. Or work literally anywhere in the US.
BREAKING: Republican Congressman Andy Biggs has introduced a bill to abolish OSHA.

The entire text of the bill reads "The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 is repealed. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is abolished."

If I wasn’t on Bluesky and was just watching traditional media, I don’t think I would be alarmed as I am. And rightfully alarmed because I am aware of the sources. But it makes me think how much your media consumption can radicalize.

This is everyone’s fight. Trans rights forever.
if you’re cis, please stop right now and think about how many other cis people you know are up in arms over these executive orders trying make our existence illegal

how many?

because there aren’t enough trans people to fix this, YOU CIS PEOPLE HAVE TO

and the resounding silence is heartbreaking
Surreal being a trans person on this website this week. Every single one of my trans friends is making emergency preparations in case Trump bans our health care while fighting off existential dread and depression, and 99% of the cis people i follow seemingly have nothing to say about the trans EOs.

Watching the coverage of the crash last night, I’m not totally sure which people are from which agency and which are federal and state. But I’m certain these emergencies will increase with all these changes chaos. And the response will be far less competent.
Yeah, how about not dissolving the air safety advisory commission at the FAA. As your team did last week.
