This is what will happen in Florida very shortly if people stop vaccinating against polio. I guess if they *want* their children to spend their entire lives in a mechanical breathing tube... Well I don't know how to finish that sentence. Who would want this? Who would think this is a good idea?

From a WIP I started in 2014 and then forgot about when I moved cross country. I found it languishing on my hard drive last week.

According to the US Justice Dept, in 2024, violent crime in DC was DOWN 35%. I find it hard to believe it's suddenly shot upward in the last year. (Aside from all the crimes this administration is committing, of course.)

Coincidentally, I just saw this passage in a book I'm reading.

When I stepped out of the office today I could smell smoke and my eyes are feeling so gritty. Now I know why. 😞

How I spent my Sunday. I couldn't make the glaze because I had no white chocolate, but they're delicious just as they are! #baking #cookies #peanutbutter

I spent the weekend at a quilt retreat, and did my first quilting since before Christmas. I have always wanted to make a New York Beauty block, but was afraid of foundation piecing. This weekend I overcame my fear and completed eight blocks! Four more to go. #quiltsky

Here are the fabrics I pulled out of my stash this morning. A lot of them are from Tim Holtz, but a lot of them are just things that coordinate very nicely with his fabrics.
