The poet Martin Espada has a new collection coming out in April 2025 called Jailbreak of Sparrows. His book Floaters remains as poignant and necessary as ever. He also has a cycle of sonnets about the Patterson silk strike called Vivas to those who have Failed. I can’t wait for the new collection.

I am reposting this to remind myself of the truth of this statement. I have fallen into this trap many times.
