Eastern Nfld will also see some strong winds tonight for a few hours with SE gusts of 80-100 km/h for the Avalon, parts of the Burin Pen near Placentia Bay & the Bonavista Peninsula.

Rainfall will once again be heaviest in the east with the Avalon & Burin Pens as well as Clarenville area seeing 10-20mm, with pockets near 30mm possible.

Elsewhere will generally see between 5-15mm.

3. After a brief lull Friday afternoon for eastern Newfoundland, more rain will be on tap for Friday evening and night for the Avalon and parts of eastern Newfoundland.

Avalon Peninsula: 20-40mm, with pockets near 45mm.

Burin & Connaigre: 15-25mm.

South coast, central, east & NE Nfld : 5-15mm.

Central & western Nfld may also see 2-5cm in wet snow, esp inland and over higher terrain.

2. Newfoundland will see rain, at times heavy Monday night or Tuesday until Tuesday night or Wednesday. The heaviest rain will be for south & parts of western Nfld.

Onshore showers or flurries expected for west & south on Wed & Wed night.

Strong winds on tap as well.
