Kicking off a series of recommended readings on peaceful resistance. Starting with Thoreau’s Civil Disobedience (1849) which argued that it’s the duty of Americans never to obey immoral or unlawful orders just because they come from the government. It feels especially relevant today.

I just attended Senator Wydens Town Hall in Albany, Or and was able to ask the last question of it, which resulted in a standing ovation. But I’m not sure an answer was clearly given. Here is my question (image), @wyden.senate.gov please answer again. #townhall #savedemocracy #Neoreactionism #NRx
