I was shushed (very politely, I must add) by a young lady today. I was discussing our new library robot vacuum overlord with a couple of custodians and we were talking too loudly for the quiet floor. She really was very lovely about it, and we were appropriately contrite.

My wife’s coworker shared that my name came up in a family memory over Thanksgiving, and then someone from another campus department came by and we recognized each other. He said he sees me around campus and it makes him smile.

My heart is full. ❤️

If it makes you feel any better, I voted Republican from Bush/Dukakis up until the first Obama election. I switched up and voted for him because I was terrified of Sarah Palin being a heartbeat away from the job. And I kept going.
