Magical Cornish moments in January: went to Padstow and there were no tourists (it’s normally unbearable), the harbour bridge came up and there was a starfish on it, the old fisher guy told us last month there had been an octopus. Drank a pint of local beer, ate a pie.

At the weekend I got into a chat about movies with a random stranger because they were wearing a Suspiria jumper.
When they asked what my favourite film was, somewhat to my own surprise I said ‘Onibaba’.
Today I discovered that on that day Onibaba was exactly 60 years old…spooky!!!
