I completely understand TikTok creators being upset that they are losing income. I don’t understand being upset at Dems when Trump & Rs are the ones who started this. Now they suddenly reverse their position to enrich themselves. Wake up, open your eyes, you’re being conned.

One big challenge for our incoming state legislature in 2025: a looming budget deficit over North Carolina's finances. Due to a reckless policy of slashing taxes without also cutting spending, the legislature's own fiscal analysts project a $2 billion deficit in just a few years.

To be clear, the veto is not overridden yet. The override won in the Senate, but it still needs to go through the House, where it did not get a veto-proof majority on initial passage (three Western NC Republicans voted no.) North Carolinians should call their legislators!
For the North Carolinians in the House: this did not get a supermajority in favor, so it's possible they won't be able to overturn Roy Cooper's veto. Worth a call to your legislators.
