There are other good takes out there, too, of course.

Found this on the United app. Looks like flights during the week can still be rescheduled after you book them. Sigh.

Every day in late morning these three hen turkeys come sauntering up our quiet road. I like to think they’re headed out to a boozy brunch after a long lie-in.

If you’re over 45 and haven’t been screened for colon cancer (or are overdue to schedule your next screening) consider this your sign.

I am 51 and just had my first colonoscopy. Here I am waiting to be wheeled in and given the good drugs. 1/2

In all seriousness, the Winged Victory of Samothrace is spectacular and by far my favorite thing in the Louvre. I cried when I first saw it, and not because of any kind of build-up or back-story… I’d never even heard of it. It’s just that stunning.

Huckleberries too

Some red maples do that here in the fall. I call the color “Life Saver red.”

Pretty wind-ruffling on Eagle Lake tonight in Acadia NP, Passamaquoddy and Penobscot territory.

Outstanding Halloween display by Two Cats, best breakfast spot in Bar Harbor, IMO — don’t miss the lobster eggs benedict!

Thanks! I’ve been up it 45ish times and Northeast Harbor has a notable shape from there. Here’s one of my best. 🦌

A few pics from my bike ride in Acadia NP (Passamaquoddy and Penobscot territory) yesterday and one from my run today. Fall colors still popping!

I’m a Mainer and this is what I just sent to the Platner campaign.

Step aside now, @grahamformaine.bsky.social.

It is one of the best little hikes in Acadia, especially in the fall, and it’s super accessible - just a 4 mile loop with 292 feet of elevation gain, and 3 of those miles are on gravel carriage roads. Here are some stills.

Join me as I approach the summit of Connor’s Nubble in Acadia NP at peak fall foliage (1 min video).

I cannot stress to y’all enough what a big turnout we had in small-town Maine for No Kings. Ellsworth (pop 8,500) had 2,000. Southwest Harbor (pop 1,750) had 775!

Yes, folks came from the surrounding rural areas and towns but even so, these are impressive numbers!

No Kings march is beginning in Ellsworth, Maine!

Wow, much "freedom of religion." Excite! Very "right to peaceably to assemble." So "due process." Amaze!
