Imagination made me whatever I am today
I really enjoyed it until I really didn't!

Oh totally agreed, I just took it and ran somewhere else with it—thanks for your patience

If those papers include a "these are the (at least four) points of why this 90%-well-executed idea ultimately crashed and burned" then I'll totally be down for that, because I myself can only usually remember 3 of the 4

I made a 10"x10" vector base map, for use in both overview and inset pieces, showing Rudky's street grid with selected roads and landmarks. Numerical labels reference photos, snapshots, and other archival imagery that appear throughout the book

These pieces will be part of a deluxe memoir about a Holocaust survivor, and his daughter's efforts to tell his story, custom-published by Modern Heirloom Books, who works with individuals, families, and family-run businesses to preserve their stories.

I've 1,600.13 miles so far, which isn't great (I'll be lucky to hit 2018's total), but it's better than '24 and '23. But I bike mostly for exercise, so ramping up with bikeable errands seems like the way to go (not least because my car is very old).

I won't subject you all to any of that but there's nothing like career retrospectives of someone else's work to make me do the same with my own stuff.

I don't play BG3 through Steam (for some reason it works better on my Mac if I just open the app directly) but I'm pretty sure I've hit this mark, especially after mods allowed me to bring in most of my favorite 5e characters in their original incarnations.

"Feels" is doing a lotta work in that post above because all the examples I have are fleetingly anecdotal. I also don't want to reductively blame "AI" because I think that's a deliberately lazy answer to a complex question.

But I will blame social media (including this very app and others like it!)

I do go on about how "omg literalism will end us all" but that's mostly griping about how it feels likenobody under a certain age seems to realize that literature/films/music/art/creativity can have multiple levels of meaning and there's no one "correct" interpretation

As someone trained to interpret and enjoy creativity with figurative thinking (yay English BA) I definitely feel like culture’s reduction to literalism (disingenuous or otherwise) is a coal mine-canary bsky.app/profile/keir...
It's even worse when the parasocial/performance aspect is figured in. I used to believe literalism would end us all and I still do, but irony-poisoned coping mechanisms feel like they could be a close second.

This is how I feel about the British PM

3) I lit my agency career on fire after two employers and almost 13 years to launch a freelance design partnership at 40 and then, after quarantine, freelance solo at 44 (I am now 49)

2) My amateur album cover and poster designs for my second band and a night school design certificate got me a marketing agency internship at 27
