Floofy knits this week! First up is a mohair scarf. This was 18 years ago when I didn’t know what a challenge mohair lace would be! Came out nice, eventually 🤪.

Works in progress! The first is a shoulder panel of a newly-started sweater. A new (for me) technique. The second is a tee that’s been hibernating since I got tired of doing I-cord trim. Just the neckline remains. Will surely become more interesting again in the spring!

I’m game! 17 years ago, was learning to cable and made the scarf for my bro-in-law. It was a big hit!

Some time ago, I said a sad farewell to my friend Mr. Coffee. Today Li’l Chopper goes out to pasture. She was a true workhorse! There were cracks in the work bowl and blade (see blade? ⬇️) but we kept on going. Now the motor is saying “enough!” Bye, pal!

Our city #garden is small and the one sunny patch for my herbs is teensy. Was so happy that last year’s basil and Thai basil self-seeded! We ate a lot, gave some away … and here are 23 basil ice cubes to get us through the winter!

Finally reached the “knit until you run out of yarn” part of this free one-skein pattern! (Taina on Ravelry.) Mostly garter stitch with some yarn-overs for occasional interest, very relaxing. I hope it opens up in blocking, as it will show the subtle-but-pretty colorway better.

Oh, knitting horror stories! This one is called “First sweaters”. I made my 1st sweater (left) in 2007. So proud of the cables! Hubby washed it in hot water one day. 😱 Made hubby’s 1st (right) 2 yrs later. First stranded work. Eventually, m*ths got to it 😭.

Yay! Life got extra busy but my Namu sweater is now an #FO! It blocked to just the right size, whew! Using Aran instead of worsted required about 75g more yarn, luckily I had enough.
New for me: Lori’s Twisty Bindoff. Attractive appearance, just the right stretch for a sweater. #knitting #knitsky

NW #Philly represented in several places in addition to the big march in Center City. Here’s the Chestnut Hill rally. I’d say at least 60% of cars honked. We got some bus driver smiles and one big truck gave us a major TOOT-TOOT! I’ve been told the estimate is 750 people! (I’m in the black hat.)
