There’s a few ideas I have myself now 😅

The caster is thematically sent back in time just before the triggering action is made. The spell weakens the attack for a moment, such as struggling to keep a crocodile off of you. Your ally’s now know what will happen and can try to prevent it.

I would personally houserule that certain effects aren’t attacks. Granted, I don’t know anything about pathfinder, but as long as everyone is having fun I think this is a hilarious challenge your DM likely enjoys.

In real terms though, it doesn’t specify effects, only the damage of the attack. So basically you’re immune to pain for 6 seconds. You must have some very powerful influence on the game or hilarious plot stuff 😼
