It’s incredible that an entire generation of fans who watched what happened to Andy Reid in Philadelphia and what he’s done since in KC now think “Yeah, we should totally do that with our guy.”

Hey man good on them for living up to their team name.

As a Santa Clara alumn, it hurts to see Podz go through this. That being said, he’s a notoriously hard worker who was asked to do a lot at the college level in the WCC with Gonzaga and St. Mary’s. And rose to the occasion. Hopefully some tough coaching will help him do the same at the next level.

Thanks for sharing @markhamillofficial.bsky.social. My daughter did a class project on Ms. Goodall as a kindergartener in 2023, and she was kind enough to grace them with a video thank you note after the fact. Truly a powerhouse of a woman and this planet is better off for her having lived on it.

I’ll likely keep posting updates on Axel, but know that this is a happy story. Despite a cancer diagnosis, this is a story of strength, resiliency, and love. If more of us were like Axel, the world would be a better place.

He had his first chemo infusion yesterday, and again, did not let that phase him. He took the opportunity to run in the backyard for the first time when he got home. He didn’t care that he was at the vet all day, he was just happy to be home with his family. There’s a lesson there somewhere.

We received good news the other day, and his sub-type of cancer is a rare form of the bone cancer that only accounts for about 10% of all cases. It’s less aggressive, more reactive to chemo, and may double the time we have left with him. Needless to say, we’re all relieved and hopeful.

Axel is an absolute warrior, and was walking less than a day after his operation. His personality is returning more and more every day, in no small part to his Giants themed @pitchingninja.bsky.social swag. He doesn’t care that he’s missing a leg, he’s just happy to see us every day.

He was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer that doesn’t carry a great prognosis without amputation and chemotherapy. Needless to say, we are ready for a fight. Axel had his right front arm amputated on Halloween, and has been recovering at home ever since.

Axel is a 10 year old German Shepherd who has been my best friend, guardian, and nanny. He’s truly a part of our family.
