Never, ever give away your power…which is exactly what you are doing. Why not force negotiations on a better plan? The shutdown might only last a few days, but your caving in will be forever remembered.

They aren’t voting to shut down the govt, but voting against a poor funding bill. The no vote should allow for some negotiation, not just roll over. It’s shameful that we can’t even navigate a simple strategy to negotiate.

I'm saying all those words out loud. This was their best hand, and they caved. Spineless, gutless and many of them are no longer fit to represent us.

I try to give Democrats breathing room to do stuff and push back against the do somethings to give them some time. They've had all this time and this is what they did with it? No Democratic Senator gets my support because if they had guts they'd tell him to cut the shit.
