And people in power cynically use this to manipulate opinion without offering real solutions.

Conspiracy theories are also the easy mode to fake being informed. Real knowledge in any one subject takes years of work, education, and humbling moments of understanding you will never know all the answers.

Way easier than contemplating massive systematic problems that will require compromise, cooperation, humility, and drastic change and sacrifice.
