Still don’t know how I feel. Canes fan by way of Hartford. Necas finally became the player we hoped. But I don’t watch enough Avs games and know Rantanen other than by stats. Liked Drury but he is a 4C. Oddly traded from his dad’s team to his uncles team (as players).
Hearing from NHL sources tonight:
1 - Rantanen deal had been in the works for a while
2 - Everyone curious what Avs are cooking at 2C with assets + space
3 - No one understands what Chicago did here. Flipping Hall at deadline (with retention) could have gotten a 3rd itself
