I occasionally pop back to the 'X' to marvel at its toxicity. No matter how many individuals I block without interaction, the algorithm keeps trying to make me feel outrage to satisfy its insatiable appetite for 'engagement'. Like trying to clean a septic tank with a teaspoon.

So much nicer here.

And this is why you should use "Block lists" with care. I wholeheartedly support the ability to curate your personal digital space by using the block and mute functions with abandon but when someone else is doing the curating you find yourself at the whim of someone else's judgement.

Public Service Announcement: If you want to follow users but not see links to sites like the DM you can mute the domain like this:

Settings->Moderation->Muted words and tags

Add dailymail.co.uk

I'm sure this is obvious to many, but so many people have joined recently I thought this might help

Walking away from someone is an act of liberation

Insisting that no one has the right to walk away from you and demanding that everyone give you attention is an authoritarian impulse.

And it speaks poorly of youe confidence in the merit of your ideas.
