Has anyone ever fixed an old vacuum pump? The chem teacher was using mine and accidentally sheared off a valve. Oil and MERCURY!? poured out of it. I don't want to try to get a new one and would love to fix it if I can.

I tried it with maple and I get a weird error like that when I use an implicit plot command but not when I use a 2d command. I don't know exactly how autograph functions maybe it's doing something similar?

We were later opening the pool this year and the tree frogs thought it would be a great place to have babies. We left it for a while but the water in top was drying out totally. Daughter captured all the tadpoles and is raising them in a tank. They are getting fat on kale, algae, and centipedes

Broadforks are awesome for tilling small gardens with no pollution and quiet enough that I can listen to Deltron 3030 while doing it.

I don't understand lenz's law as well as I thought I guess. Why would the magnet fall slowly in the copper tube that I ripped up the long axis? I assumed that by breaking that axial current I would lose the field opposing the magnets fall? Any ideas? #physics#mtbos
