People, organized with purpose are the check on the executive branch when enforcement is lacking. This is something in how the French system works and we can learn from.

My thinking is either is directly to assist Musk or he is trying collapse and consolidate power for Trump as an executive. (Illegally) which combined with other elements in Project 2025 gives him dangerous amounts of power versus the other branches of federal govt.
