That is very well said. I think it is important to have nonjudgmental conversations as well. It is wonderful to gain the trust of your patients to have them listen to you. Trusting and being comfortable with someone is difficult but when it happens it is important. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Yes! Definitely one of the best parts of thanksgiving! Lucky for me most of my family don't like to eat stuffing so that leaves a lot for me! It's definitely the best part of the entire dinner! We usually add vegetables like scallions and celery to ours! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This definitely seems like a good organization and source that focuses on children and provides dietary information that could be followed by a parent without much confusion. It is also great that it is connected to MD's and MyPlate. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I agree! I never want to make my patient feel insecure or judged! I want to help them find a healthy, safe and enjoyable way to eat that could benefit them, just like Tom. There are so many ways to lose weight that don't involve insulting someone or harming themselves. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This is definitely one thing that made my jaw drop. How the body fights back weight loss almost as if it acknowledges it as a threat and is trying to protect the body. I see how hard it can be for people to lose weight when the body is adamantly trying to fight back. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I also felt this was one major factor for me. Pre-packed foods are the most effective option after you are tired from studying or a long day at school, another issue for me is after I've cooked something I usually am no longer in the mood to eat it either. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I did not know that a high fiber diet could stabilize blood sugar, I've always thought it was used for metabolism and digestion, so this was an intriguing lesson. Now I think I will consume more fiber, especially because I love sugar. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

That sounds like a very interesting article! Fiber is very healthy for your diet as well so it's great to know how to maximise eating it. I also think it's amazing how the article was created by someone with the proper education to give a good account on the subject. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
