The image of Americans consuming 46 MILLION TURKEYS at Thanksgiving is honestly horrifying

Love that the democrats once again shot themselves in the foot with nothing to show for it. Why make the country suffer through a 40 day shutdown just to back down? Was it worth it?

Dating apps are exhausting. Tbh I think I'd rather someone not respond at all then just respond with one word answers. 🙄

"I come from a musical family. My mother was a piano teacher and my father was a conductor"

The caregiver fatigue/resentment is hitting me hard lately. When it happens it always makes me feel so incredibly terrible because obviously they don't want things to be like this either. So not only do I feel completely overwhelmed, but I feel guilty for feeling that way.

Today has really highlighted a struggle I have between the fact that I honestly love this city. It's a great place to live, it's cute, the people are great... But that clashes with the fact that I continue to feel overwhelmingly sad and lonely here

Every time there's a looming government shutdown, I just think of that time Spain didn't have a government for like a year and how great it was

I burnt bacon and it made my apartment smell really bad so the internet told me to boil vinegar water to neutralize the smell but now? You guessed it. My house smells like burnt bacon and vinegar

American Healthcare example #1005: i fell last week and I'm becoming increasingly concerned that I may have fractured my rib instead of bruising it. But I can't bring myself to pay for the doctor and x-ray when the treatment for both a bruised and fractured rib is pretty much the same.

DMV is an absolute nightmare. You can't renew license online. But they're also not open on weekends or evenings. So you better come during your working hours to sit for 3 hours
