Check in w/ them.
And 'check in; doesn't mean talk to them about random shit.
It means ask them, directly, "with all the coverage focusing on sexual assault, how are you doing?"

I can't imagine how victims of rape, esp. childhood rape -- w/out solid psycho-emotnl supports + coping strategies -- are dealing w/ this news cycle. It's difficult enuf if you have those things.
