One of my favorite parts of using tools like Claude is finding out about things that I didn't know existed. Just learned about "current_page?" in Rails. I thought that Claude wanted to create that method or hallucinated it but it turns out its a real method in Rails.

My dad was a programmer in the 90s and 200s. He was shocked when I told him that the code we write today is pretty close to what he wrote back then. He thought for sure we’d have a better abstraction at this point.
man, all code-based UI creation systems suck so much. decades of progress in every field and humanity still hasn't been able to create something better than HTML to describe a graphic interface. I've used at least 8-10 different UI systems in my life and they ALL suck, the best are barely tolerable
