In the U.S. military's annual laws of armed conflict (LOAC) training, we were always taught that these incidents are war crimes.

Example used in the training: If you shoot down a fighter jet, shooting at the pilot as she parachutes to the ground is illegal. Because the jet was her primary weapon.

Every few days, I get proven correct for putting Trump at #1 on my "Department of Gerontocracy" watch list. Specfically, as I posted 2 months ago, I see him incapable of staying in office longer than a couple/few months.

MRIs are not typically part of a routine physical.
That's from the Dept of Gerontocracy.

Based on indicators and my career consuming and using classified leadership bios (military & civilian), my top 5 watchlist:

1. Trump. Health wise, he'll prob be incapacitated in days/weeks/months. Same obfuscations/denials by aides that occurred w/Biden's.

And either there was no peere review or peer review was so rushed they might as well have not had the peer review--it was only symbolic. I see that a lot.

Waiting for all the robot company CEO to proclaim that these robots will VERY soon make housekeepers, mechanics, barbers, and pilots obsolete while also claiming if we're not careful, those robots will take over and destroy the world...because "What have we done with our genius minds!?"

These reasons are why I think this is a fragile Band-aid--nothing close to a "peace deal".

A 4th option that didn't generate the most debate during the wargame is a blockade of Taiwan without firing a shot at Taiwain. Although an act of war, it would be even less likely to prompt a U.S. military response than a limited missile barrage.

How long could Taiwan survive a blockade?

If a terrorist group is actually defeated, it can't launch attacks. And there's no need to continuously attack that terrorist group. Because it's defeated.

Perfect example of why we should be skeptical when politicians use maximalist/absolutist terms like "destroy", "defeat", "eliminate", etc.

🧵 In Dec 2018, Trump declared via tweet "We have defeated ISIS in Syria."

Days later, ISIS killed 91 civilians, anti-regime, anti-ISIS/al-Qaida rebels, Syrian regime soldiers, and Americans in Syria (see my infographic). Then more ISIS lethal attacks over the next 6+ years.
