"We’re part of a highly functioning ecosystem out there, and before, we were an agent acting against it.” -Idaho rancher Glenn Elzinga
Glenn Elzinga and his family run cattle on 46,000 acres in central Idaho. He says his success lies in accepting the “screw-up” of wolves and coexisting with them in a “highly functioning ecosystem.”
An Idaho rancher lost zero cattle to wolves in a decade. Can he help Colorado ranchers do the same?

This week's #bioswales content is a tiered rain garden that redirects stormwater from the gutter into the swale - clever and beautiful.

#bioswales o'clock

This is a "swale cell", which is like a bioswale but designed to catch excess stormwater from a gutter and direct it into a green and lush catchment area.

Don't know about you but I'd be happy to be locked in a swale cell!

#bioswales time!

This bioswale in Paso Robles, California is a clever and beautiful way to channel stormwater. Why hide it underground?

This seems like a good time to promote the beautiful form and function of #bioswales - kinda like if a drain and a garden joined forces and gained additional powers!
