The Game Awards nominations are out. I predicted most of the GOTY noms and I’m excited to see Donkey Kong, Expedition 33, Hades, and Silksong here. But I’m not gonna lie, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II over Split Fiction is a choice… both great games but I feel like Split Fiction was robbed.

Ok so thoughts on the trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie? I honestly had such a blast with the first movie. I took my daughter and we just loved it. I’ll definitely take her to this one! Pretty excited!

So what are everyone’s thoughts on Pokemon Legends Z-A? I’m not gonna lie, I’m kind of underwhelmed. Hoping the game starts to pick up but been finding it a bit of a slog and repetitive.

There is a new version of this short on Nintendo Today! The same video except all the invisible creatures are now revealed as Pikmin. No other announcement. Just a cute video with a baby and Pikmin. Now waiting to see what comes next…

So like the sheep I am, I picked up the physical copy of Mario Galaxy 1+2. I have zero regrets. I always forget how good these games are and they look great on my Switch 2. And this will be the first time I’ve played Galaxy 2 since I first played it on Wii a million years ago.

Just cancelled my Game Pass membership. I’ve generally appreciated the value I’ve received with this subscription, but the changes announced today remove a lot of that value for me. Perhaps I’ll re-sub sometime in the future but for now, I can’t keep investing in this service.

Got past a wall yesterday in Silksong after a few days break. Feels good to make some progress. Hit another wall but I’m feeling a bit more confident. Slowing down, taking my time, and maybe eventually I’ll be able to finish it.

Happy 40th anniversary to one of the GOATs. Super Mario Bros was released 40 years ago today in Japan. I have my complete-in-box copy ready to pop into the Famicom for some real nostalgia later to celebrate.

As excited as I am for the new Mario movie, I can’t help but think that by focusing on Super Mario galaxy, Nintendo has skipped quite a few years of great games to pull content from. Gonna be hard to go back to something like Super Mario World after sending Mario to space.

I’m stuck a specific area in High Halls in the Citadel in Silksong. If you’ve come across it you likely know what I mean. Any tips? I’ve gone off to do some side quests in the meantime but it’s loving rent free in my head
