You’re my blue sky, you’re my sunny day.
Cracker Barrel caves on a silly logo issue.

During Trump’s 1st term: the betrayal was weasel politicians groveling for fame and power. During 2nd term: the betrayal is weasel corporations, law firms, & universities cutting deals for money. Different players. Same compromise. I can’t stand weasels.

No segment of the American public wants Greenland or Canada as the 51st state. I don’t know what’s happening on MAGA social media, but if they’re pushing that now, it’s not MAGA shaping Trump’s views—it’s Trump shaping theirs.

How I wish Christopher Hitchens were alive today so he could give his sharp commentary on all this dystopia.

How I wish Milton Friedman were alive today so he could see that too much socialism isn’t the only thing to worry about.

It must be that no one believes the tariffs will last for long, because the stock market isn’t crashing.

Trump could never be a good despot because enriching himself, enjoying flattery, and throwing his weight around are as far as he has the imagination to go.

I did get a reply to my question—somewhat disappointing, though. It seems there’s likely no funding. What could be more interesting than exploring how brain data trends among mildly infected patients?
A third (etc) timepoint would be excellent, but currently (as far as I know) there isn't funding in place for that.

I think being self-respecting is sometimes more important than being careful and clever. Trudeau, take note:

Why do all the good looking young women want to be my friend at X and none over here?

I’m deeply disappointed in my country. They don’t seem to understand the weight of their decision. Jesus forgave them, for they know not what they do. But I don’t think I have it in me. And they aren’t asking to be forgiven. Just gonna watch.

The next 4 years could take 1 of 3 paths:
1.Better than expected: Trump moderates. His second term like his first—ugly but not catastrophic
2.Convulsive change: He aggressively pursues campaign promises, causing economic & institutional crises. Provokes public backlash. Movement weakens

I saw a tv show on Ted Bundy. He had 2 good qualities i remember: he was a good big brother & nice to his girlfriend’s daughter. Any act of generosity that stems from caring about others is Christian. Yes, Bundy was a serial killer—a monster.

Spurs head coach, Greg Popovich, had a mild stroke on Nov2, apparently. I think that’s Trump’s cue to make fun of it and then his supporters can laugh out loud.

Microblogging is one of the only business/platforms where a single company makes sense. I hope Threads buys BlueSky and then defeats X. We do need competition to improve service. But I still lean towards one platform.

Maybe something like the internet. Many browsers but one internet.
