as a child of an RFK fan, I think it’s predominantly a side effect of mental models learned from church. My folks instantly side with contrarians and “underdogs” in a sort of “narrow gates vs wide” confusion, missing the key ingredient that the lone heroes of their stories have: being right.

Not on their either, but what I can say is that Meta’s TikTok variant on FB and Insta is…interesting. I can’t go more than 3-4 scrolls before I get a nonstop deluge of Tate, Kill Tony, or other adjacent variant that has me concerned about the unassuming consumer (or the silo Meta has me placed in)
