Boomer, Scorpio Water-dragon with ADHD, fibro & hypothyroidism; probably somewhere on autism spectrum, so have lots of interests that constantly change. Most enduring: beading, crochet, gardening; love reading, but right now, my eyes aren't cooperating.
I have Chinese elm seedlings all over my yard/in with potted plants.... Popped a bunch out for a friend who wants to make a "grove" bonsai-- as a project for his Sunday School students. Also one that was ~ 5 years old that had planted itself in a hanging basket with an epiphyllum.

How about #yellowflowers a day later? These are currently in bloom

I agree with "rain lilies"-- I have them in white, and pink; perhaps yours is a hybrid of the two??

Also good for people who walk away and forget they have something on the stove. With a microwave-- it's just cold when you get back. On the stove-- it's burned to carbonized lumps, and may cause a fire. Ask me how I know....

Already following you, and interested in gardening, both for food and flowers. And just for interesting growing things.🌱🌳🌹🌻

That's what one British friend called it, but I've never looked for it elsewhere. I do check to see which "language" a pattern is in, after a few very weirdly shaped results of ones written in British, and stitched in American.😜Actually, I tend to pass over written patterns in favor of graphed ones.

For what?? If you want fabric, forget Michaels-- all they have are pre-cuts-- fat quarters, strips, squares, and not much of any sort. Walmart has a better selection of those, plus some yardage. Michaels yarn is ... variable; not all stores carry all types/colors. Look at local options for both.

There are patterns for booby hats-- baby sized mostly, but larger ones, too. The baby ones used when breastfeeding...

Might be too late for stocking up at JoAnns.... A liquidation company is now in charge, and true bargains are few... and "the good stuff" was pretty much gone by the time they took over. Start looking for local fabric and yarn shops and join hobby groups to ask re: on-line sources.

British or American crochet? Yes there's a difference. "Two peoples separated by a single language" problem.... Single crochet in Britain is slip stitch in America; single crochet in America, is double crochet in Britain, etc.

There also is a similar recent incident involving a British tourist at the Canadian border-- Canada not letting her in because of some sort of special visa needed to come in from US, and the US declaring she's trying to enter illegally from Canada. She was in the US hiking, and now can't go home.

Love those, but already have enough similar patterns to last for a decade of stitching! Trying not to buy (or get free) more patterns (or yarn...) until my stashes are significantly reduced.🧶

Or, maybe cash in all your Starbucks gift cards? I rarely go there, and have a couple of dozen languishing in drawers and card holders. Not sure why people think they're such a "thoughtful" gift. Or maybe, start giving them away to the "Hungry--please help" sign holders....

Or maybe, take the trolley to the southern border, cross over, and go shopping in Tj?? At least until there are import restrictions on groceries.

Are you a CostCo member, or know one who is willing to take you to the food court? Hotdog and a drink--$1.50. A whole 18" pizza-- $10. Both hot and freshly made.

If it's a Blue state, then less than 50% are MAGA. Electoral college does the coloring. Sometimes the AREA covered is more red than blue, but land doesn't vote; blue areas, though smaller, tend to be densely populated so more voters there..

Denmark also made an offer for California.... And, maybe President Sheinbaum will make a serious effort to re-patriate Northern Mexico. Any of the three offers would be welcome at this point.
