#gardening #cactus #epiphyllum First epi blooms this year. Not sure if this variety is "Wild Orchid" or "(Something) Gypsy"/"Gypsy (Something)"; it lost its tag long ago, and the stem with the name written in marker pen.

#crochet "Fungi" top-- no real pattern, just granny squares, and "free-hand yarn painting" of mushrooms and grass. 🌱🍄

Hoping this peach tree will actually bear fruit, but even if it doesn't, the flowers are worth keeping it. It's supposedly "low chill", and I'm in San Diego, so we'll see....

I bought a red finger lime tree today, from a local (San Diego) nursery. A cute little bush in a 5-gal pot at the moment. Trying to find out what size permanent pot it needs-- is anybody here, in S Calif, know? According to the tag, it's a semi-dwarf, but rootstock not identified.

Peruvian Daffodils-- on the slope next to driveway. Fragrant. Bulbs increase fairly easily, if they like their spot. #gardening #flowers

#gardening A few things out in the garden: low chill dwarf peach (Red Baron??), still waiting on a few late dragonfruits, watsonias brightening up the yard with cheerful orange flowers (hummingbirds like them!).

#BlueMonday #garden Blue flowers on a rosemary bush in my yard. Legend says, originally rosemary had white flowers until Mary spread Jesus' swaddling cloth on a bush to dry after washing it, as the family fled to Egypt. I did have a "white rosemary"-- which is a paler blue.

#crochet New motif pattern by Julia Tushnicka (JT House), a Ukrainian fashion designer. "Sakura"
I did this one with sports wt yarn/4.5mm hook as a practice piece. The pattern calls for viscose thread, and a 1.75mm hook. I can't work with the nylon (viscose) though, so will use #10 cotton... later.

My San Diego garden is getting new blooms-- a new "Buddha's Hand" citrus tree (in a 5-gal can) and a Golden Currant (Calif native), both earlier than other citrus' or golden currant
