“Visually, “This Beautiful, Ridiculous City” is a tour de force…The effect is a work of careful artisanship rivaling some of Sohini’s self-professed mentors and guides in comics storytelling: Alison Bechdel and Kristen Radtke and Thi Bui.”

The Washington Post.

My book has now been reviewed by NPR Fresh Air!
The attention TBRC has been getting is beyond what I could have ever hoped for. So grateful to everyone who led me here. And my parents, for surrounding me with books growing up, despite everything gnarly life threw at them. www.npr.org/2025/02/06/n...

Such an honor to be read and contextualized like this (and with the likes of Fran Lebowitz, no less!) in this current political moment. Thank you, @ericawgnr.bsky.social.

Life is wild because my book has now appeared in the British Vogue, Comics Beat, Bookriot, The Story Exchange, Publishers Weekly, and the Library Journal?

Like what do you mean people other than those I have personally inflicted it on have read it and sometimes even loved it?? 😲

At the American Historical Association conference from earlier today, talking a little bit about comics. So glad to have shared a platform with brilliant and staggeringly innovative scholars, educators, and historians who are building the field of Graphic History. w/@hsglobalhistory.bsky.social

Sometimes I feel that I like too many things. Drawing, reading, writing, editing videos, photography, cooking, this city. Fortunately, sometimes in life it just so happens that you get to combine most of your loves into a single endeavor.

So many thanks to everybody who has made this possible.

So excited to share that This Beautiful, Ridiculous City got juried into the Illustrators 67 exhibit at the Society of Illustrators! It will also be in their annual book.

To think that I randomly started drawing one day in 2018 and now my art will be displayed in a New York City museum come Spring!
