They did end up paying about 80% actually! I was surprised the hospital didn’t charge more and that the insurance didn’t try to deny coverage for at least part. I hate that you never really know until you get the bill, and before I even got the bill I got a letter denying financial assistance

Now we put her in dumb little hats and also give her an insulin shot twice a day for her diabetes and she brings so much joy every day for the last almost four years so
