Ugh. I’ve delayed replacing my old Win10 computers that can’t be upgraded because I loathe setting up new ones under the best of circumstances. Got the year’s extension for Win10 hoping the old boxes will survive that long.

I’ve seen the same sort of thing. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it? I’ve made plenty of embarrassing operating mistakes but not this one.

In my last bureau envelope, most of the requests for a card were for contacts already confirmed on LoTW. One is tempted to bin them.

This is weird. A piece just broke off one of my molars while I was eating a salad in a café. There were some nuts in the salad but one bite seemed way too crunchy. The dentist can see me tomorrow.

Been there done that. Alarming to feel something in a mouthful of food that shouldn’t be there. Oops! That’s a piece of tooth! Like you, I was able to see a dentist that day. At my age I’m lucky to have my own teeth as dental care is hideously expensive in the USA & most insurance doesn’t cover it.

Thanks for info on the gift card scam. Yes it’s hard to hide from the crooks. But. Kids today are horrified to learn there used to be a great big book in every home with street addresses & phone numbers. You could even dial 411 to get out-of-town phone numbers from a live operator. What???
