Being mid-40’s is so weird. You can have young children. You can be grandparents. You can do both.
Having an “old mom” crisis…took 4 to bday party and realized I used to work with bday girl’s great grandma. Who is fine and funny, then I realized bday girl’s mom is 20 years younger than I am😂🤪 And I’m possibly a couple years older than HER mom too😂This is what happens when you have a baby at 40😂

Spent two weeks writing a barrage of grant applications for a variety of clients. My writing skills were at top notch when I had to finish today by writing a letter to my son’s middle school principal.

I walked outside to see if the meteors might appear before my bedtime and I was not prepared for how LOUD nighttime critters were. To the point where I was questioning if this is even normal or am I losing my mind? 😂

Scanned my tag at the YMCA and it screamed “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” Into the mostly quiet gym. Very much how introverts like to work out on their birthday 🤣🤣🤣

I’ve been doing a lot of genealogy and it has been a real roller coaster. But I must say I wasn’t prepared for Luke Perry to be my 11th cousin 😂😂😂

I’m having my first colonoscopy tomorrow so today is prep day. I’m starving…lol🤪 But last week I bought the kids lemon flavored Italian ice popsicles so now they’re mine.

I’m declaring April Middle Age Health Month. Today I saw the dermatologist. Got a spot on my face biopsied. Next week-orthopedics because the joints hurt. Week after that, first colonoscopy! Cheers to the fun 😂

Kiddos 11 and 4, had checkups today and are now finished with most major childhood vaccines. I feel like I’ve been holding my breath since January 🙃 11 had his first tetanus booster and is dealing with a majorly sore arm. Sorry, kid, rite of passage 😂

My mom was diagnosed with colon cancer in December. Today she was admitted to the hospital with flu A, despite trying to stay clear of everyone and everything. I hate this. We haven’t visited since Christmas specifically to keep germs away, but I also feel guilty for not seeing her.
