I was trying to think of a joke to comment with, but it was… hard.

It has to be willful ignorance at this point. They’re victims, too, and they refuse to see it. I don’t get it. But sometimes I peek at the conservative subreddit and chuckle at the slowly growing “I’m behind him all the way, but WHY is he DOING this?” comments. It warms the heart, it really does.

And sometimes your practice pieces end up being better than anything you did on purpose. Anyway, I'm just saying do *something* every day and it won't be so daunting in the future.

If you give yourself tiny practice tasks every day—like doodle within a 4 inch space or write a paragraph-length story—then you know it's for practice and the pressure's off. When you're like "Today I'm going to create the next masterpiece" you're setting yourself up for a bar no one can reach.

I’m not a bury-my-head-in-the-sand kind of person, but I’ve had to step away from the news lately because it’s just an onslaught of anxiety fuel that I swear some people actually enjoy being mad about while I’m seeing no news of any meaningful action against it by anyone with real power.
