Word of day is ‘unasinous’ (17th century): united in stupidity.

A riff on ‘unanimous’: which comes from the Latin for ‘one mind’. ‘Unasinous’ means ‘one ass’.

Farage’s friend Donald Trump has little time for
overeignty of countries other than his own

As Trump rattles his sabre about trade, tariffs & territorial expansion, UK urgently needs to improve access to Europe’s single market because the faux ‘patriots’ who sold UK out to Brexit will do it again
Why return of Donald Trump to White House means UK must rejoin European Union

Worth saying - whatever you think of the legislation and the principle - that courts have been clear time and again that they do not consider right to die to be a human right and that it is a matter for national parliaments to legislate on.
Shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick on the assisted dying bill:

“This Act, if passed, will be subject to activist judges in Strasbourg [the ECtHR] — they will change it fundamentally and we have to be prepared for that.”

Just doing a share on the off chance I might win books, (I already have two of them so I’ll donate those two to a good home if I’m lucky enough to win 😁).
As I have somehow surpassed 7k followers on here I thought it might be nice to do a giveaway: All 7 of my books to one lovely winner. Just share and like to be in with a chance! 😁📚

Etymology of the day: before a tapering piece of hanging ice was called an ‘icicle’ it was an ‘ickle’. In the Middle Ages people decided to add ‘ice’ for extra oomph and (tautologically) called it an ‘ice ickle’, until the two words eventually blended together.
