And that briefing took place in the WH Situation Room, according to the PressSec. Why isn't anyone asking why a "briefing" needed to be done in one of the most secure places on earth?

Do you claim that the Jays also bought the ALCS, because they had a nearly $100 million salary advantage over the Mariners? Or, is that "different"?

No real NYer is putting chicken cutlets on a pizza (or a bagel).

Not to mention, none of the people in that video were eating a "pizza" slice the NY WAY. That is like a felony in NYC.
NOPE.

I grew up nearby that area and moved away about 35 yrs ago and never heard of this -- and frankly, can't imagine any actual NYers paying that much for a giant bagel wheel.
It just seems weird.

It wouldn't even get that far. By the time 30 years rolled around, the predatory reverse-mortgage people would be all over it and their kids/grandkids would be SOL.

True, but it's nothing new. I spent a good chunk of the '90s trying to explain things like NegAm & VRMs to mortgage borrowers. Regardless of their socio-economic or educational level, almost everyone was clueless about what they had signed up for. Blame the shady mortgage brokers for that

My preemie daughter's stay in the NICU 17 years ago cost $250K+ (iirc) and I was told she was one of the "least critically ill babies" there. Without insurance, I would've been bankrupted (and pre-ACA, she wouldn't have been able to get insured ever again --she would've been high-risk pool forever)
