I always flip back and forth on whether it actually helps that they don't announce the track until 10 minutes before departure, so suddenly there's a voice announcement, a hundred people head to try and join the forming queue, and everyone else stands around in confusion.

The amazing thing is, even a dictator needs a functional civil service, and they don't even seem to realize that! It really put a lid on the (already discredited) "4-D chess" theory

I once flew a 14 hour United flight from Tokyo to NYC where every single meal service item contained pork.
