The same Washington Post that is actively helping kill democracy in broad daylight and has publicly shredded its integrity by bowing down to a fascist authoritarian regime?

You mean THAT Washington Post? Just want to make sure I have it right before being consumed by uncontrollable laughter.

Sen. Booker just broke the record for the longest floor speech in Senate history—a record set by Strom Thurmond trying to block the Civil Rights Act. The irony ain’t lost on us. From fighting against justice to fighting for it. This is what courage & being on the right side of history looks like!

Pam Bondi stares down the camera, defends a criminal like it’s a closing argument on reality TV. Calls it justice while riding shotgun for a guy facing 34 felonies. If hypocrisy were a crime, she’d be doing life without parole. #Tesla

The first triumph of authoritarianism is when people repeat its lies—not out of belief, but to avoid trouble. In time, truth vanishes into silence.

“I can’t join protests” or “I don’t know what to do” are common refrains. Yet, resistance thrives in the everyday: sharing uncensored news, supporting local businesses, rejecting injustice in conversation, aiding neighbors, preserving culture, documenting abuses. Small acts sustain defiance.

Now imagine Trump calling Adams to demand an illegal favor. When a politician’s career is indebted to a powerful figure, can refusal truly exist? This is how authoritarianism cements itself. Freedom of expression withers under blackmail, coercion, and fear. The state becomes a tool of obedience.

The Trump SWF is not national investment; it is state-sponsored looting. It weaponizes financial sovereignty to launder oligarchic wealth, converting public assets into private fiefdoms. This is not capitalism—it is autocratic wealth exfiltration.

Every Republican senator shares responsibility for what’s happening. They are complicit in, and share responsibility for, whatever mess Trump’s dangerous nominees cause.

But a few GOP senators from purple(ish) states face reelection next year — and we’re going to shine a light on their complicity.
What to do about Republican complicity
Republican senators have taken some bad votes over the past week. Really, really bad.
