A few years ago, our cat Jason became similarly obsessed with a piece of dried vine stuck to the window. Could not be distracted from it for at least 36 hours straight. We documented Vinewatch2012 with regular photos and updates for our friends. You may be in for a long night.

What a joy to get to know Jim (and Charlie). I think Jim would have enjoyed our Jason, who played guitar for Vampire Weekend and taught Adam Levine how to move like Jagger. (Sadly, Jason passed a few years ago, but his spirit still speaks regularly to our current ginger, Archie.)

Earlier this summer we lost our 15 year old dog. Our remaining 12 yr old has been depressed since then. Yesterday we adopted a 12 yr old brother for her. She has been beaming nonstop and showing him off to everyone. #seniordogs

I haven’t told anyone IRL yet bc I don’t want to jinx it, but I’m gonna bust if I don’t say something. After losing one of our dogs earlier this summer, my wife and I have applied to adopt this handsome 12-yr-old. Just look at him!

This adorable image of Dandy triggered a memory of my first cat doing the same thing with his tail 25 years ago. He'd wrap it around the blinds cord and make the plastic end tap against the wall while he watched birds. I had to dig out old photos for nostalgia. I miss still miss that cat.

Welcome home, Spike! Our little girl Pansy has a matching donut (and matching drugs). She had a sarcoma removed from her leg the other day but is doing fine now. She hopes Spike has a similarly fast recovery.
