Republicans used to say “undocumented immigrants don’t pay taxes.” Now the IRS is handing their tax data to DHS… So which is it?

Seems like you’d have to pay taxes to even have tax data…
US IRS chief to quit over deal to share data with immigration officials, report says
The acting head of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service plans to resign over a new agreement to share the tax data of undocumented immigrants with Homeland Security personnel, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday, citing two people familiar with the situation.

The specific Signal chat disaster on Yemen may or may not be a “drunk guy disaster” but it revealed a practice that is likely common for these folks and very intentional to avoid official records that can be accessed to document their acts and behavior. This is illegal.

We're slowly making over the backyard into what's being called the whimsy garden. On a tiny budget. My over-researching has led to Meta sending me all kinds of gardening acct suggestions. If they don't seem to be blue, hard pass. Also, the eyes of Dollar Tree frog are startingly bright at night!

Dear sweet baby Jesus 🫣 I made the mistake of turning on the live feed of House Reps discussing the budget. If waste, fraud, abuse, woke were a drinking game, I would've been eternally taken out in the first 10 mins.

What's wild to me about Les Mis at the Governors Ball is both sides see it as symbolic and intentional. Just two different points in the revolution. I scrolled through comments on FB to see how Rs were reacting.

Lexington One will hear a complaint about Hunger Games this Tues. 😒 The form doesn't list what Nancy objects to. The binder is probably copies of MFL material. FYI If a complainant doesn't like a board's decision, they can appeal to the state. Then, the state's decision applies to the entire state.

The state level DOGE bill is absurd. Republicans hold and have held control around here for decades. And lost a billion posssibly imaginary dollars then spent a few million looking for it.
Here is my statement on the Republicans attempt to create a state DOGE office 👇🏾

🚨 Yall. This man is claiming control of FTC, FCC, SEC, every independent agency, AND complete control of interpreting law.

If you don't understand how bad this is, I honestly don't know how to convey it

And why did they stop posting the actual EOs?

After a "DOGE bill" was introduced in Columbia targeting "over-burdensome schemes" that lawmakers say could save South Carolinian taxpayers and businesses "millions or hundreds of millions of dollars," @edsutton.bsky.social says the state GOP only have themselves to blame for any waste found.

As you make your daily phone calls, ask Alan Wilson WTF?! Why is South Carolina part of a lawsuit requesting Section 504 be repealed?! Actually, we know why. Tell him absolutely not! Make it personal. Share how 504 protects and benefits your kid(s), students, and their classmates.

Make the calls! "There's no point." They think everyone agrees with them b/c that's who they surround themselves with AND because we DON'T CALL. More than one staffer I've spoken to indicated they're unsettled by the number of calls they're getting. That's a good thing. We have to speak up!

I wonder if any local news has checked with Eau Claire Cooperative Health in Columbia to see if they have similar issues and can't access grants since they're an FQHC.

The lady who answers the phone at South Carolina AG Alan Wilson's office is so nice. After my obviously unrehearsed speech, I thanked her for answering and listening. I know she's "doing her job" but she's doing it well and with kindness.

Holy hell. Ralph Norman - I just read a post from someone who went to his local office this morning. His staff googled what they were telling them about this weekend and it appeared the staff had no idea. He's hardcore MAGA. And they had no clue.

It looks like there is a planned event with permits in Columbia. They're getting everything in place as fast as they can. The "discussion" side of the event is where they're adding info.

There's a nationwide call for protests on Wed. People all over South Carolina are eager to go, asking for details, plans, time clarification. All I've found is the graphics but no organization/leaders locally?

Thats the point. If Unions become a solution for non-union, healthcare for small/medium businesses, the profile of Unions change immediately and the quality of care options go up immediately for those non union workers

Won’t be easy. Wouldn’t happen fast. But it would be game changing
This would be great, but most Americans don't have a union job! But universal health care would be best. Def a human right.

Ive said this before. Unions have a moment in time to create parallel, Non Profit Trust or Associated Health Plans and
offer them to small to medium size businesses.

Unions can negotiate far better than SMBs or associations .

Imagine if millions got their healthcare from unions ?

Thoughts ?

"dangerous level of executive overreach"
"legislating from Oval Office"
