My book has a cover! I love that the BFI series has moved to interpretations of images from the films. I had no idea what they would come up with for Velvet Goldmine and the image surprised me. Love that it feel like a memory. I can't wait for the rest of the book to be out in the world next year.

But I heard “it would cool to shop for vintage MENS patterns!”

Pulp at the Bowl. What a show!

To stave off the fall semester stress dreams, I’ve started organizing my home office. Today was sewing patterns! This project was both satisfying and hilarious. (Love these weird smiles)

Rewatching LAST NIGHT IN SOHO and man, I still love this weirdo movie. I get why some people don’t, but it all works for me.

I made one, but I don’t feel good about it. (10 is not enough! It’ll change in a moment!)

Springtime wrap top hot off the sewing machine. Looks like spring break has finally begun. For the next few days you can find me buried in my backlog of beautiful fabric and extremely ‘70s sewing patterns.

On the eve of spring semester, feeling a little queasy (about everything) and a little hopeful (about returning to campus and a new semester with students). I distracted myself by finishing up my “learn to sew silk jersey” project.
