My 3-year-old is obsessed with the super Mario movie. I can't wait until she's old enough to introduce her to the games, but for now these crochet dolls I made will have to do

Barnardos are fundraising to promote children's books and the writing childhood event on 31st May. Please share a childhood fave and donate www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/W...

My pick is the animorphs series, wild and weird and fantastic and surprisingly dark near the end.

April reading wrap up

A techy friend introduced me to the concept of rubber duck debugging and I'm more than a little annoyed at how well it's working so far to unravel every massive problem with my plot. Imagine if I knew about this year's ago? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubber_...

This took me 6 months to knit, ready just in time for the good weather, I expect to be sweating in it all summer

My parents are clearing out their house and they found these, my earliest primary school attempts at writing novels.
It's probably for the best that I don't have anything that can read floppy discs anymore...

First day that it's felt like Spring! Beautiful outside, all the windows open while I work, only a light jacket and I'm so refreshed and finally doing work that I'm happy with.

We really are meant to exist seasonally rather than just grind endlessly through the dark months of the year.

I gave my three year old full control when decorating her dad's birthday cake, and honestly, I can't fault a single decision. Epic cake.

Here's a very quick email you can use to contact your TDs showing your support for WPATH trans healthcare (it's slightly too long for Bluesky but the full transcript is in the alt text so feel free to copy and paste).
I'm sure there's ways to improve it, but the more people they hear from the better
