Or maybe… just maybe… society is making people more physically unwell, mentally unwell, and compassion fatigued. Should we consider improving it? Looking forward to seeing @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social psychiatric qualifications.

More evidence the whole water sector is totally broken. Utterly toothless regulators & privatisation resulting in £80bn lining shareholders’ pockets since 1990 & raw sewage entering waterways for 3.6m hours last year, double amount recorded the year before #publicownershipnow @we-own-it.bsky.social

Universal Credit is falling short.

Our social security system should support all of us, especially when we need it most.

I found nothing more disheartening than being told “Labour won’t win here, so you should vote LibDem” during the last election. I voted Green*, maintaining an 18 year streak of never getting what I vote for.

Despite talent and hard work, professionals from working-class backgrounds earn significantly less than their peers. It’s unacceptable.

#EqualPayDay is sooner this year because that gap has widened, with men earning an average of £631 more than women per month, and even more for black, minoritised and disabled women.

The Government must take urgent action to reduce the pay gap.
Today is Equal Pay Day, when women effectively stop being paid compared to their male colleagues.

We would require all large and medium-size companies to carry out equal pay audits and redress any inequality uncovered.

Equal pay for equal work should not be too much to ask.
