It really shouldn’t have taken an assassination for people to start talking about and being enraged about *the exact things that chronically ill and disabled people have been trying to bring awareness to literally every day and are ignored*

Today NYC Mayor Eric Adams said he hoped recent events would accelerate implementation of a mask ban.

Reminder: There is no evidence that mask bans stop crime. Mask bans make cities more unsafe because preventing people from wearing masks increases the spread of diseases.

My home doesn’t have heat

I’ve spent the past 6 winters surviving on 3 space heaters and my oven

I now have asthma due to wildfires +/ long covid and can’t breathe in my home (avg morning indoor temp 49°)

I spend hours a day warming my home

I’m raising funds to relocate my family

My concern with Canada’s (and potentially UK) assisted dying policy is that it’s the Government deciding who gets care, how much & when. They can also decide who dies.

We’re giving them the ability to create the suffering, refuse to alleviate it & then offer the “solution”

For all those thinking you had 'mild' Covid and think you have nothing to worry about. Another reason to avoid re-infections.

The NYT finally covers this. Turn on the sound for the video.

Those who oppose Covid mitigations say it’s because we won’t stop until we reinstate lockdowns

Many disabled people have been locked down for 5 years. All we want is safe access to public spaces

Just give us clean air, paid sick time & masks in high risk public spaces.

It doesn’t have to be hard.

Anytime I advocate for better covid mitigations - people assume I want to lock them in their homes forever.

In reality we could drastically limit covid transmission with the following:

- Masks in healthcare
- Clean air in public spaces
- Free vaccines, tests & respirators
- Paid time off
